Call for Trainers for the EVS On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation Meeting for EVS volunteers, Malta

Description

The Training and Evaluation Cycle within EVS aims at providing young volunteers with continuous guidance and support throughout their voluntary service period. Such training and evaluation contributes to the education and development of each young person. It also helps resolve conflicts and prevent risks, and it provides a means of assessing the volunteer’s EVS experience.

Methodology: Non formal methods shall be used to engage more the participants into the learning process. The non formal methods may include energisers, workshops, discussions, outdoor activities and visits.

Eligibility

The Trainer shall:

  • Have sound knowledge of EVS in general and of support provision to volunteers in particular;
  • Have experience in running EVS On-Arrival Trainings and Mid-Term Evaluation Meetings;
  • Be fluent in the English Language. Knowledge in other languages is considered an asset.

Application

Trainers interested in leading the EVS On-Arrival Training & Mid-Term Evaluation Meeting shall submit
the following:
– Motivation Letter / Letter of Application
– Curriculum Vitae (CV)
– A draft plan for both activities

  • OAT: Starting on Monday 26th March after lunch till Wednesday late afternoon
  • MTEM: Starting on Thursday 29thMarch before lunch till Saturday 31stMarch 2012, lunchtime.
  • The activities should be based upon the Guidelines and Minimum Quality Standards published by the European Commission in May 2011. These can be found here.

– A quotation stating:

  • Trainer’s fees per day (including preparation days);
  • [For non-Maltese Residents] Estimation of travel costs to and from Malta:
                                 – Arriving in Malta not more than two nights prior to the start of the OAT
                                 – Departing Malta preferably on Saturday 31 March or Sunday 1 April.
                                 N.B. Accommodation costs shall be incurred by the NA and therefore are not to be
                                  included in the quotation.
