Description

FIA Region I represents 104 Touring and Motoring Clubs in the European Union, as well as the Middle East and Africa from its Brussels office, which total more than 36 million members. The FIA represents the interest of these members as motorists, public transport users, pedestrians and tourists.

The FIA’s primary goal is to secure a mobility that is safe, affordable, sustainable and efficient. With these aims in mind the work focuses on Road Safety, Consumer Protection, Environmental Protection, and the promotion of Sustainable Motoring.

FIA is now searching for intern, to be placed in FIA Region I office, Brussels, Belgium, for 2 – 6 months (agreement with the university necessary), starting as soon as possible.

The tasks would be mainly focussed on policy support working together with the Director for Mobility and the Policy Manager.

Tasks would include but not be strictly limited to:
■Support in policy monitoring, drafting news items and summaries, as well as lobbying work.
■General administrative support like proofreading and drafting of documents.
■Providing information for communications activities.
■Participation in internal and external meeting activities.

Eligibility

Profile of a successful candidate: University student seeking work experience in Brussels within an international team. Qualities required include a high level of English both written and spoken, and good analytical skills.Knowledge of the EU decision-making process is a plus but is not required.

Remuneration

A compensation will be given covering a part of the living costs in Brussels.
