Embedded Conflict Management, Training in Belgium

Description

This five-day training organized by The Knot will bring about an integrated approach to conflict management for people active in national, regional and the larger local organisations and structures in the adult education field. It will discuss conflict and the conflict management in a holistic way, meaning that all stages of the conflict will be addressed, starting from the conflict within oneself to the biggest and most uncontrolled way of conflict, namely war.

Eligibility

The course first targets youth workers that are working with young adults (18 years and older) on professional and volunteer basis who want to develop themselves. Further, the course aims at NGO workers, adult educators, (head) teachers, principals, managers and other management staff in schools/organizations involved offering (non)formal adult education projects. It is for those who on a regular basis are confronted with groups of people were tensions and conflicts occur.

You need to be a citizen of one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Republic of Croatia and The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Financial Aid

The training costs for you as participant are 100 euro if :

  • You’re selected for the course AND
  • Your application for a grant to the GRUNDTVIG program in your country has been accepted.

For this The Knot will guide you after selection trough the GRUNDTVIG Application so that you can access the training course.

The GRUNDTVIG Application you have to make is for the following costs:

  • Trainers fee for the course: 850 euro
  • Food and accommodation: 850 euro
  • Your travel costs to Belgium
  • Visa costs if necessary

The deadline for your application to The Knot is 31th March 2012.

As soon as your application is accepted The Knot will work with you together to the application for the Grundtvig Grant. The deadline here is 30th of April 2012.
