Deadline:6th January, 2013
Open to: applicants of exceptional merit coming from EU/EFTA member states and non-EU countries
Scholarship: €12,000-€15,000

Description

This Erasmus Mundus course, Masters in Strategic Project Management (European), known as MSPME, is a unique programme in the field of Business Management. It is the only masters programme that takes an international perspective to the strong and growing demand for strategic thinkers who can deliver core business activities and realise competitive strategies in public, private and voluntary sector organisations through the implementation of strategic projects.
Over a 16 month period, students will study at three internationally renowned institutions across three different countries. An internationally recognised multiple degree is awarded by each University in the consortium of three top European universities:

  • Heriot Watt University, School of Management & Languages, Edinburgh, UK.
  • Politecnico di Milano, School of Management in Milan, Italy.
  • Umeå University, Umeå School of Business and Economics in Sweden.

Eligibility

MSPME welcomes applications from candidates both from within Europe and from all countries out with the European Union. Selection is highly competitive in accordance with the entry requirements. The following should be considered as minimum requirements and those candidates selected for Erasmus Mundus scholarships are likely to be outstanding in all four of the following criteria. You can find more about the eligibility issues here.

Entrance Requirements

  • Academic excellence of the candidate: outstanding achievement in the applicant’s first degree. The minimum admission qualification is a high-quality Bachelor degree (or an equivalent academic degree) of minimum three years duration and 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent) in a cognate or semi-cognate discipline.
  • Language ability: for non-native English speaking applicants a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with no individual component lower then 6.00) or equivalent is required: e.g. TOEFL 577 or 91 internet-based).
  • Student motivation and relevance of the MSPME programme to a student’s future career aspirations.
  • While professional experience such as employment or professional qualifications are not essential, these are taken into consideration when awarding scholarships. Successful scholarship candidates tend to have considerable relevant industrial experience as well as vocational or professional qualifications.

Scholarship

MSPME fees include the cost of all administrative expenses, tuition, site visits, guest lectures and travel insurance. Fees for 2012-14 will be €12,000-€15,000.

Sholarships are available to applicants of exceptional merit from all countries. There are two types of scholarship offered by the European Commission:

    1. Did you read the post carefully? This Erasmus Mundus course, Masters in Strategic Project Management (European) is known as MSPME. You have it in the beginning of the post. If you need additional information please visit the official website and use the contacts for the questions which might concern you.

      Regards

  1. Mladiinfo we find your web site very beneficial, but you are being too rude with your comments. You should try to make better relationships with your site-visitors and users. Not all people get the information on the same way, and that is why you make a spot on your web site for questions and comments, right? This was just a little suggestion from a loyal fan.

    1. Dear Rodrigo,

Our apology if sometimes we sound too rude in comments. However, some of the questions we receive are really already answered in the posts. We upgrade our posts constantly to make them as more informative as possible and still there are some questions which leave the impression that some visitors have not read the post at all.

      Best regards,
      Mladiinfo team

    Best regards,

  4. Dear Mladiinfo,

Sorry for checking it twice, but I just want to be sure. I have once used ERASMUS scholarship for studies. Can I apply for Erasmus Mundus-MA in Strategic Project Management?

    1. Dear Kristine:

Thanks for asking! For many Erasmus Mundus scholarships, you may ONLY apply for another if it's a different type of mobility than granted within the past Erasmus Mundus project. If you have been selected as e.g. an Undergraduate before, you can now apply as a Master student. However, preference seems to be given to new applications. Please be aware that chances to get selected again might be low. You should contact the university organizers using their contact page or their email at mspme@hw.ac.uk to confirm with them.

      Kind regards,
      Mladiinfo team

  5. I will be glad if you can clarify as to whether a letter from your previous university certifying your English language proficiency can be presented in the absence of TOEFL or IELTS for the application of the MSPME. I had my entire studies in English and i felt is quite unneceessary to write the IELTS. Kindly enlighten me.

    1. Dear Jalal

In the post it is said: "Proof of level of English language ability"; if you have equivalent for TOEFL or IELTS you can probably use it, but check with the organizers first whether the equivalent you have is valid. You have the contacts at the official website, so send them a quick question.

      Kind regards,
