TechPeaks Business Accelerator in Trentino, Italy

Description

The TechPeaks accelerator is starting a new batch of acceleration in May, applications being open until April 5th. TechPeaks is specifically looking for talented hackers, designers and business managers aiming for a startup life. The acceleration process takes 6 months, during which participants get to know each other, form teams, generate business ideas, validate them, work on them and, at the end, look for further financing.

With the first 6-month bootcamp starting this May in Trentino, Italy, participants will get a small salary (500 EUR per month), free housing, food, desks, services and the visa for 6 months. Once the teams are created and they validate their ideas, they get to pitch for a non-equity grant of 25k EUR. Teams that will forward attract private investments during the next 12 months, will also be eligible for a second investment phase by the fund, of up to 200k EUR. As this is a governmental funded project, legal companies will need to be established in Italy.

Throughout the 6 months, teams will go through many mentoring sessions in the company of top-notch mentors (read more HERE) with global business and technology backgrounds, providing important knowledge and connections.

Within the scope of this Program, in order to identify and start up to a maximum of 30 (thirty) ICT business projects, the Trento RISE Association intends to select no more than 100 (one hundred) applicants on an individual basis (this means that the selection of a team comprising three members shall be tantamount to the selection of three applicants).

Eligibility

• Individuals: Applicants submitting an application for admission on an individual basis may, at their complete discretion, submit an innovative business idea in the ICT field;
• Teams: Applicants submitting an application for admission as a team shall be admitted, if selected, only as a team and not as individuals. Teams shall be comprised of no more than 3 (three) individuals; furthermore, at least one 1 (one) member of a team formed by 2 (two) individuals, or 2 (two) members of a team formed by 3 (three) individuals, shall have an ICT background, with software development or similar skills. Teams shall mandatorily submit with their applications an innovative business idea related to products and/or services in the ICT field.

Applicants may submit their application online HERE until 23:59 of April 5, 2013 (Central European Time / Rome). Applications not accompanied by the documents specified in the application form or submitted beyond the deadline mentioned above shall be automatically rejected.

Selected Applicants shall be contacted directly by the Trento RISE Association at the email address indicated in the application form. The list of Selected Applicants will be published online HERE no later than April 30, 2013. Applicants who need a visa or residence permit for Italy are invited to apply as soon as possible, in order to speed up the relevant formalities.
