PhD Scholarships at DTU Compute, Denmark

Scholarship: the salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current Danish rules for PhD students

Description

A number of PhD scholarships are available at DTU Compute with a starting date in the fall 2013.

Scholarships will be given in the following two categories:

  1. A full scholarship from DTU Compute
  2. A DTU Compute innovation scholarship in cooperation with an external partner. (Documentation from external partner is needed; see 8. below).

Projects

The subject of the PhD project must be within one of the main research areas of the department:

Qualifications

  • Candidates should hold a M.Sc. degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a M.Sc. degree in engineering.
  • Furthermore, good command of the English language is essential

Scholarship

The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current Danish rules for PhD students. The period of employment is 3 years.

Application

As a requirement, the application must include a letter of confirmation signed by the relevant DTU supervisor, stating that the supervisor and the candidate have agreed upon the PhD project. Therefore, you must have established contact with a supervisor at DTU prior to submitting your application.

Applications must be submitted in English and we must have your online application by April 23rd 2013. Applications must include the following documents:

  1. Acceptance in writing from a DTU supervisor
  2. This application form (see here for help)
  3. A personal application addressed to the Dean of Graduate Studies and International Affairs
  4. Short description of the proposed PhD project
  5. Documentation for MSc degree incl. list of courses
  6. Excel sheet with translation of grades to the Danish grading system (see here), for Danish degrees see here.
  7. CV incl. list of publications
  8. Commitment from company (only necessary in category 2) (see here)
