Description

The European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) announces its call for applications fro the 14th European AIDS Conference to be held 16-19 October 2013 in Brussels, Belgium. They promise to do our best to offer an exciting scientific conference programme, composed of state-of-the-art plenary lectures as well as abstract-driven sessions presenting the latest original research in the field of HIV medicine. As a special feature, the 15th International Workshop on Co-morbidities & Adverse Drug Reactions in HIV will be affiliated with this EACS conference to allow for stimulating synergies in addressing issues concerning long-term care which are of common interest.

One of the key goals of the EACS in organising this biennial European conference is to promote an interest in HIV clinical research amongst young researchers/clinicians from across Europe at an early stage in their career. Therefore, they particularly encourage junior researchers to submit results from their scientific work to the conference and also use it as a venue for networking with colleagues in the field.

EACS has further developed in recent years, publishing comprehensive guidelines, conducting educational training and research courses as well as implementing a new governance structure. They feel sure that all these activities will provide an excellent opportunity for coming together and exchanging new research results and major ideas in Brussels. Also, this conference is a unique platform to discuss epidemiological and operational aspects which are becoming more and more important with better access to care.
