Get Ready for Youth Entrepreneurship
“Get Ready for Youth Entrepreneurship”is a training course on youth entrepreneurial Learning. Co-organised with the Italian National Agency and the support of Swedish and Hungarian National Agencies, the seminar will take place in Italy, 21-26 October, 2013.
Youth workers participating in the seminar will discuss and explore ways to help young people to implement and follow-up their “Youth in Action” projects, in particular youth initiatives, and set up their own businesses and ventures (e.g. social enterprise, NGO).
The seminar will be based on an exchange of good practices among ex-beneficiaries of youth projects, serving as role models/coaches by sharing their experiences with future and present beneficiaries. Concrete ways (practical examples, methods, tools, tips, etc.) in which youth workers can support/coach young people towards creating their own job/business will be explored and identified during the seminar. In order to facilitate the links and exchanges with other sectors, formal education and business representatives will be invited to the seminar.
The participants should be coaches/youth workers/youth leaders representing an organisation or a youth group. They should be:
- Over 18 years old;
- Being able to actively communicate in English (working language);
- Experienced in supporting young people in implementing Youth in Action projects;
- Have an interest/experience in developing entrepreneurial learning in their youth work practices;
- Ready to contribute with a method/tool/best practice on entrepreneurial learning;
- Willing to apply and disseminate the knowledge acquired during the seminar.
Eligible countries: member states of the EU or Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Croatia and Turkey
All costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the National Agencies involved in this project – except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. The decision will be based on the experience, qualifications as well as on the attempt to reach a balance in terms of gender, geographical, cultural and professional background. The final selection will be made available through your National Agency by the 1st of July 2013.
