Social Business Training for Macedonian Citizens

Would you like to extend your knowledge on the quickly emerging topic of Social Business? Do you see yourself as a potential social entrepreneur that strives to make a change in our society? Are you between 18-35 years old and a Macedonian citizen? If yes, then apply for the training program on social entrepreneurship and enhance your social entrepreneurship spirit and potential!

ZIP Institute together with its Swiss partner SEED is implementing the project “Promoting Social Business among Youth in Macedonia from February 2013 until December 2013, funded by Youth for Development, Switzerland. Participation in the program is free of charge! Established in 2011, ZIP Institute is an independent, nonpartisan, public policy organization geared towards producing and disseminating high-quality, objective and comprehensive ideas and analyses central to the democratization and EU Integration of Macedonia.

The project is aimed at increasing awareness and skills for social business among two main target groups: (a) young people in Macedonia and (b) potential disseminators/multipliers. Thus,

  • 20 young people in Macedonia will be trained on social business through offering innovative web based tools, learning materials, a week-long workshop in Skopje, coordinated with SEED trainers (who will provide expertise in this area).
  • Potential disseminators like start-up centres, other NGOs, or employment service centres will be engaged by providing them useful training materials and resources and establishing a network of interested partners.

The program and activities:

  1. Selection of participants – by 20 September 2013
  2. Four week online preparatory phase – October 2013
  3. Face to face workshop – November
  4. Awareness raising activities on social business training for selected local disseminators, including start-up centres and employment services. – December 2013

Costs

The participation fee is 1.000 MKD.

Eligibility

Participants should be Macedonian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35.

The program will ensure that there is ethnic and regional diverse composition of the participants. All profiles are welcome! Priority will be given to applicants that already have some social business ideas that could be converted into real social businesses.
