Description

The World Business Dialogue is the world’s largest international student-run business convention. Each year, the leaders of today and the leaders of tomorrow come together in Cologne, Germany to discuss current innovations and trends regarding their impact on existing business models and their chances to generate new business models. Therefore, the conference brings together excellent students with renown executives, founders, politicians and scientists and offers them an ideal platform for a cross-generational and cross-cultural dialogue.

All student participants are called Delegates at the World Business Dialogue as they are in fact delegates of their respective countries, cultures and mindsets. As a Delegate you join the World Business Dialogue on 13-14 March 2014 in Cologne, Germany. Take the chance to share your ideas and visions with today’s business leaders. Discuss the convention topic in Panels, Workshops and different interactive formats. Meet students from all over the world, experience the clash of cultures and worldviews and make the Dialogue a unique and unforgettable experience.

All you need is motivation, ambition and an open mind. The more experiences you have made already, the better you can actively participate in discussions. Profit from your knowledge in the field of disruptive innovations, big data and artificial intelligence, deepen your understanding and widen your horizon during the World Business Dialogue 2014.

Eligibility

Every student who is currently enrolled at a university or who has graduated in 2013 may apply to become a Delegate.

Costs

The general participation fee for attending the World Business Dialogue is 70€ for every Delegate. This participation fee also includes food during the convention, the supporting program and other activities.

You can also choose the complete package which covers all costs for accommodation, food, supporting program and other activities. For that students applying during the first application round have to pay a participation fee of 170€ and students applying during the second application round a participation fee of 195€.

There will be scholarships provided for which you can apply after the results of the application are announced. The scholarships will include the cost of food, accommodation and airfare.

Application

The first application round closes on 14 November 2013 at 23:59 CET, whereas the second application round lasts from 15 November until 15 December at 23:59 CET. Register online HERE and log in to submit your application. A successful application requires you to:

  • Fill out a questionnaire telling us about yourself and how much you know about this year´s convention topic
  • Upload your CV and a document certifying your enrollment (i.e. student ID, grade sheet, etc.)
  • Upload a document verifying any work experience or voluntary work (i.e. letter of recommendation, acceptance letter, etc.)

The results of the first application phase will be announced shortly after the beginning of the second application round. All applicants from the second application round are going to receive the results by 22 December 2013.
