Description

Europe Aid is inviting proposals for Education, Knowledge and skills; Employment and Social Cohesion theme titled ‘Empowerment for better livelihoods, including skills development and vocational education and training, for marginalized and vulnerable persons and people dependent on the informal economy’ grant program 2014. The major objective of the grant program is to contribute to the elimination of poverty and social exclusion of people dependent on the informal economy and other vulnerable groups.

Eligibility

The applicant must be non-profit making legal person of a non-governmental organization, public sector operators, local authorities, international (inter-governmental) organizations, if they can offer particular access and means, on condition that non-profit is derived from their involvement in the action or professional associations, chambers of commerce and other non-profit making institutions representing the private sector, as well as micro-finance institutions.

Applicants must be established in a member state of the EU or from Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Macedonia, Montenegro or Serbia. They can be from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland and United States if the proposed action is exclusively targeted in the least developed country.

Besides, the applicant must have at least three years experience in implementing actions in the specific field of the proposed action and must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

Grant

Total indicative amount of the grant project is €44,000,000 and the action project should be 36 to 48 months duration.

Application

Prior registration in PADOR for this Call for Proposals is obligatory for the applicant. Registration is optional though strongly recommended for co-applicants and affiliated entities. Registration in PADOR is obligatory for all pre-selected applicant, co-applicants and all their affiliated entities.

You have to indicate on the proposal the EuropeAid ID. To get this identification, your organisation must register, save and ‘sign’(committing your responsibility) in PADOR obligatory data (on each screen the fields written in orange) and the related documents. However, if it is impossible for the organisation to register in PADOR, it must submit a justification proving that this impossibility is general and beyond the control of the applicants and/or its affiliated entity(ies).
