International Mediterranean Youth Festival in Antalya, Turkey

Description

Preparation for this year’s International Mediterranean Youth Festival, the 17th in series, which will take place from May 14th to 16th 2014, are already taking place. With the aim of bringing to life and sharing our artistic and cultural experiences in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, the organizers hope to come together to add a new link in the chain, following on from previous years’ festivals which have established a tradition of being productive, vigorous and prosperous, and attracting young people from both Turkey and many other corners of the world. This year the theme of the festival is “Flower and Child”.

The activities will take place in seven different places on the campus that can be checked in the application form.

Eligibility

The organizers are looking forward to applications from student clubs and teams who wish to attend the festival and whose applications have been approved by their authorities (Rectorate etc.)

Costs and Conditions

  1. Accommodation, food & beverage and public transport within Antalya city will be provided by Akdeniz University. Flight expenses will not be provided by Akdeniz University.
  2. Application Procedure: Deadline is 1 April 2014.
  3. For each activity, separate forms should be filled in and sent to youthfestival@akdeniz.edu.tr. You will be informed about your position in the programme in the first week of May 2014.

How to Apply?

Application forms should be filled and send to youthfestival@akdeniz.edu.tr   Applications should be received before 1 April 2014, and if applicants have any audio or visual materials to submit, these should be sent via e-mail or post.  After evaluation of the applications, the list of applicants who have been selected to take part will be announced on 14 April 2014. For the selected participants, two days of accommodation, food and drink, as well as transport within the city of Antalya will be provided by their university. Please note that participants should make their own travel arrangements to come to Antalya.
