Description

The Grenoble Institute of Technology is one of Europe’s leading technology universities, at the heart of innovation from more than a century. With its solid combination of teaching, research and business promotion, Grenoble Institute of Technology plays a key role in making Grenoble one of the most attractive scientific and industrial locations worldwide. With 38 laboratories, some of which are shared with the CNRS (French national scientific research centre) and the other three Grenoble universities, research is one of Grenoble Institute of Technology’s strengths. Right from the outset, created to meet the needs of industrial groups in the Grenoble area, Grenoble Institute of Technology has developed its engineering courses and programs in close relationship with industry, and has a well-developed business promotion policy.

Programs are fully taught in English. Speaking French is not required, however it is strongly recommend that you take a beginners’ class in French before coming to France so that your everyday life in France is made easier. Check here all the programs taught in English. 

The Grenoble Institute of Technology Foundation supports a scholarship program for International students who wish to attend an international program at Grenoble INP. Only students applying for Grenoble INP International Masters programmes are eligible for the Grenoble Institute of Technology Foundation scholarship. Beware you also have to apply directly to the programme, refer to each programmes’ admission procedures.

Eligibility

  • Age: 28 years maximum;
  • Nationality: All (students from USA, Canada, China, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Australia and New Zealand will have priority);
  • Remarks: All international Master’s programs of Grenoble Institute of Technology are eligible;
  • Level:
    • Master: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. However, direct admission to year 2 is possible for suitably qualified students;
    • Postmaster: Must have completed a minimum of 5 years at university level;
  • Language skills: Non-native English speakers have to add an official certification (TOEFL, TOEIC, teacher…). A minimum of TOEFL 79 IBT (or equivalent) is recommended to attend to a program taught in English.

Scholarship

The grant amounts to 5,000 euro per semester and is intended for outstanding Master level students.

Application

The application campaign closes on March 31, 2014.

To apply for a scholarship you must register online. Excellent candidates will be selected according to transcripts, reference letters and scientific project. Applicants will be selected by the Grenoble Institute of Technology Foundation Admission Committee and students will receive results by email by mid May 2014. The number of grants is limited.
