Edinburgh Napier University is offering a graduate assistantship in the field of marketing in the School of Marketing, Tourism and Languages. The graduate teaching assistant will register as research student at the University.  At the same time as studying for a PhD, the GTA holder will be required to complete the PG Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.  This is an exciting opportunity to study for a PhD at the same time as gaining a formal qualification, which will serve as the basis for a career in Higher Education.

The Graduate Teaching Assistantship is expected to start on 1st October 2014 and will be offered for 4 years.

Eligibility

The Graduate Teaching Assistantship is open to those who hold a first class or upper second class honours or master’s degree in a discipline relevant to the area of study. The proposals should focus in the areas of Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing or Marketing Communications.

Remuneration

The GTA award will cover tuition fees to Home/EU level and will provide a living allowance, currently £15,249 per annum. Overseas students are eligible to apply, but will be liable to pay the difference between home/EU and overseas fees.
