#FixEurope Autumn Campus of European Alternatives

Description

European Alternatives  is a transnational civil society organisation and citizens movement promoting democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation state. EA is organizing the #FixEurope Autumn Campus which will be held in Schloss Wartin, Brandenburg from 21-25 October 2014. The Campus will be divided into three strands looking at:

  • How to influence policy making / building up a citizens lobby;
  • How to bring grassroots practices and local change to a transnational dimension;
  • How to build networks and how to connect (online and offline) communities.

The type of formats will range from expert-led discussions and workshops, to peer-to-peer trainings and time for exchange and building up own project ideas. The Campus will be follow by a public conference on Saturday Oct 25 which will take place at Böll Foundation in centre of Berlin opened by Saskia Sassen.

Eligibility

The #FixEurope Autumn Campus is open to citizens, civil society activists, members of movements, organisations and networks from across Europe. The only requirements in order to participate is be above 21 years old and be available for the complete duration of the campus.

Costs

Half of the positions at the #FixEurope Autumn Campus will be fully covered by the organizers and this includes: room and board for four nights and travel costs up to €200. Selected participants for the scholarship will need to contribute with €35.
