One third of their membership resides outside North America (primarily Europe, China, India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the Middle East) with most members managing portfolios with millions of square feet spanning multiple continents. The end user membership base is diverse and spans industries including high-tech, financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, insurance and oil and gas. Google, Unilever, International Monetary Fund, Oracle, Coca-Cola, Amazon, AT&T, General Motors, Barclays and Shell are among their many member companies. This competition is designed to attract students from all academic disciplines to tackle key challenges facing the profession. Teams of students (up to 5 from the same institution) and individuals are challenged to develop a new strategy for management of the entire real estate portfolio that provides the enterprise with all of the required space and develops the resource fluidity requested by the CEO. Here is your chance to impress the jury of professionals and academics with your diversity, intelligence and creativity.
Students at all levels and stages of their academic career are welcome to compete as long as they are registered with their home institution at the time they submit their materials for the first round. The call is open to:
- Individual students, or teams of up to 5 from the same institution;
- Full-time or part-time students;
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD students etc;
- Any recognized institution of higher learning.
The winning team will receive $10,000 to be equally divided between registered team members. Additionally, the host institution of the winning individual or team will be awarded a grant of $10,000 to support the study of corporate real estate, or related subjects.
