Youth Power’s mission is to inspire, energize and strengthen the youth’s efforts to shape a peaceful and sustainable future, for a multicultural Cyprus. They envision a peaceful, sustainable, multicultural Cyprus, comprised of aware, empowered and active citizens.
“Improveability” is focused on developing specific competencies in designing non-formal education tools for youth workers, facilitators and trainers, aimed at increasing employability of young people. This training course will be held from 24 October- 1 November 2015 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The main aim is to strengthen the role of youth work in fighting unemployment of young people through development of new non-formal education tools that would increase their employability.
Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, EVS mentors/tutors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, United Kingdom that:
- Are dedicated to working with young people in their local reality (work with unemployed young people is desirable, but not necessary);
- Have the basic knowledge of facilitation of nonformal learning processes;
- Have a desire to apply their competences in developing new nonformal education tools that would increase the employability of young people;
- Are supported by their respective organisations in applying their competencies and newly developed tools in working with young people.
All costs of board and logging will be covered by the organisers. In addition, Youth Power is going to reimburse participants’ travel costs (upon the receipt of all original tickets and invoices), according to Erasmus+ rules.
