Eur@dioNantes is a media based in Nantes, France, that focuses on European news and information, in order to make European politics relevant on a local scale and to contribute to the awareness of Europe. Euradionantes has recently launched the selection process of its upcoming European team of interns. For six months, they will work in a dynamic and multilingual environment, with ten students from various parts of Europe. They will also get the opportunity to travel to Strasbourg to convey the news from the European Parliament.

The internship will start on the 25 January 2016 in Nantes and will last until the 8 July 2016.

The Euradionantes team is composed of several young journalists who come from all over Europe and receive a full training on radio equipment at the radio station in Nantes. They are coached by French professional journalists, who have had years of experience in journalism. They get the opportunity to be on air up to three times a day! Since 2007, more than 130 interns have received a full, bilingual training in ‘local- european’ radio journalism. Today, they work at the BBC, at Deutsche Welle, Radio Sweden, or Europe 1 in Paris. Interns from 20 different EU countries have already taken part.

Eligibility

Applicants for the internship should be high-level bilingual (in French) students in political science, journalism or European studies who are interested in European issues and who would like to get a formative experience in the world of New European Media.

Remuneration

Selected students are to receive a monthly allowance of about EUR 500. According to their situation, they can complete it with a grant (Erasmus + for instance).
