Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, has launched an international two-round competition for the design of the city’s new rail station. Its goal is to find a solution that will be adaptable, sustainable, and of high quality, equally in terms of its architecture, urban plan and transport accessibility, and will lead to the creation of a valid and integral part of a modern European city.
The subject of the competition is the urban planning and transport solution for a new main rail station in Brno, situated in the locality below Petrov Hill, and simultaneously the formulation of a strategy for the emergence of a viable urban district corresponding to the needs and realities of the 21st and 22nd centuries.
Designers that have interest in developing urban planning and transport solution.
- First Prize CZK 1,800,000;
- Second Prize CZK 1,200,000;
- Third Prize CZK 750,000.

Mandatory registration of competition participants will be done by e-mail to the competition secretary: Igor Kovačević at firstname.lastname@example.org. The registration e-mail must contain the name and contact details of the participant.
