Description

The University of Copenhagen, The Scheibye-Knudsen lab, Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM), invites applications for a three-year PhD fellowship. The successful candidate will work on her/his own project in collaboration with other members of the team.

The successful PhD candidate will be offered a full-time position for a period of three years, contingent on a satisfactory performance, with the specific intent that it results in a PhD degree and scientific publications. The candidate should expect to spend the first 2 month of his/her employment period at the National Institute on Aging, NIH in USA and to start working at University of Copenhagen in Denmark in the summer or fall 2016. The exact period will be agreed upon at the time of employment. The position is thereby contingent upon approval from both the University of Copenhagen and the National Institute on Aging.

The position is available from 1 May 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Eligibility

  • Entrance Requirements: Candidates who hold a relevant Master degree or its equivalent. Previous research experience is welcome;
  • English language Requirements: Excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills are required.

Scholarship

Salary and other terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant professional organization.
