What started 6 years ago as a popular listing site called Student Competitions (www.studentcompetitions.com) has evolved into Sqore. A service that was built to take you places through competitions. Sqore challenges students and young professionals around the world to demonstrate their skills and win scholarships, travel grants, and more. The idea is simple, your background is irrelevant, it’s all about how much you know about a topic. Equal access opportunities for all! Why? Because Sqore believes that the best talent may not have the same financial outlook as others, but they deserve a chance to prove how good they really are. To do this, Sqore partners with Universities, High Schools, Business Schools, Companies, and more around the world to create competitions for you to participate in!
What about Fashion and Design? Are you passionate about it? Fashion and Design competition that is currently running with Istituto Marangoni, one of the classiest Fashion and Design Universities in Italy can be something for you then.
The fashion and design industry are notoriously known for their immense popularity and as a result they are both extremely competitive. To make an impression and not just be another drop in the ocean it’s essential you have the best platform to launch your career from. For some it starts at a very early age when growing up and seeing what their parents or someone close to them was able to create with various materials. For others it might be something that came along somewhat unexpected and under the radar until one day there was some sort of “aha-moment”.
“The essence of fashion and design: this is what is taught at Istituto Marangoni” this is what Istituto Marangoni, one of the top designs schools in the design and fashion capital of the world (Italy), promises. It is a place where students from all backgrounds gather with a variety of hopes and dreams in order to get one big step closer to realizing them. Through a mixtures of courses and practical experience the gift of creativity is nurtured and developed into a powerful tool that can express all kinds of ideas and thoughts.
Getting in is not easy, there are financial and academic requirements that need to be met. Luckily, there are scholarships available for those who have the skills it takes. Currently, Istituto Marangoni is holding “THE BAG IDEA” competition where students from around the world will compete for a 50% tuition scholarship to join an intensive course or Master’s course, or benefit from €15,000 to cover the tuition fee of a Three-year course. This is a unique competition because to compete it the participants have to design the Istituto Marangoni Community Bag!
Istituto Marangoni Community Bag has long been an icon involving the students – each so special and unique in their own way – of the campuses in Milano, Firenze, Paris, London, Shanghai and Shenzhen. What is new is the idea of launching an initiative aimed at all creative talents to re-design the Community Bag, establishing a few simple guidelines while leaving aspiring creatives free to express their talent. Participants in “THE BAG IDEA” Community Challenge can submit their proposal by 21st August, 2016. The most creative and innovative design will be produced on a large scale and distributed to all the students of Istituto Marangoni School of Fashion, Art and Design. Additional scholarships will be awarded to top candidates – don’t miss out!
