The Dublin Institute of Technology is now accepting applications for EPA-DIT PhD Co-Fund for the year 2017. International applicants are eligible to apply for this position.

Eligibility

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

Minimum Required: Primary Degree, 2.1 / Upper Second Class Honours or higher in; Life Science, Biochemistry, Natural Sciences, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Biological Science, Soil Science or equivalent.

Desirable: Masters Degree (MSc, MPhil,etc.) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Biochemistry, Soil Science, or equivalent – Field and laboratory skills in air/water quality monitoring & analysis.

Scholarship

  • The stipend is EUR 16,000 per annum;
  • The cost of the academic fee will be covered for the duration of the scholarship;
  • This work will be based in ESHI labs (DIT–Grangegorman) and involves joint funding between DIT and the Environmental Protection Agency of Ireland. Computer and desk space facilities will be provided. ;
  • A bursary of EUR 2000 will also be provided for travel and conference attendance along with some limited materials.
