Pro Helvetia Johannesburg in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation is pleased to announce that the 2019 Call for Applications for the ANT Mobility Fund is now open.

Aside from enabling the development of new and relevant works across diverse fields of practice, the most important result of the program has however been the web of connections and relationships between individuals, projects and initiatives across the region that it has enabled.

Activities and Projects should involve mobility between two or more of the following countries:

Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Seychelles, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

For the current phase of the program (2018 – 2020), Ant Mobility Funding support has been separated into two distinct and more focused streams. The first is directed at individual artists and arts practitioners and the second to bands, performing arts companies, collectives, festivals and development organizations.

Eligibility

  • Open to all individual artists and arts professionals (curators, organizers, arts managers, etc.) and performing arts companies, collectives, festivals and development organizations;
  • Activities and Projects should involve mobility between two or more of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Seychelles, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia, and Zimbabwe;
  • Eligible Regions: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Seychelles, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Benefits

Successful proposals will be supported for up to a maximum amount of USD3000 for individual artists and up to USD 5000 (plus additional fundings from other sources)for Organisations, Groups, and Companies.
