Applications are invited for PhD scholarships for international students within the Department of Systems & Control Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Malta. These scholarships are for a period of 30 months and carry a stipend of €8,000 p.a.

The University of Malta is the highest teaching institution in Malta, it is publicly funded and is open to all those who have the requisite qualifications. Just over 11,000 students are currently pursuing studies at Foundation, Undergraduate, and Post-graduate level.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be in possession of a Master’s degree in an area related to Computer Vision or a related Master’s degree with a strong dissertation related to Computer Vision. Applicants must be fluent in Matlab and C programming.

Scholarship

The Scholarship is for a period of 30 months and carries a stipend of €8,000 p.a.

Candidates should submit their letter of application, a copy of their curriculum vitae, copies of their certificates and contact details (including email address) of 2 referees. Applications may be sent by email to karen.cacciattolo@um.edu.mt. If a candidate is already in possession of a letter of acceptance for a PhD Programme, then it should be provided too. Applications should be received by not later than noon of 30 January 2018. International candidates are required to present certified translations of their qualifications into English. Late applications will not be considered.
