Princeton’s 5,100 undergraduate students benefit from studying in one of the world’s foremost research institutions, where faculty devote much of their time and energy to teaching and advising undergraduates. Chartered in 1746, Princeton is the fourth oldest college in the United States. Princeton’s curriculum encourages students to explore many disciplines and to develop a deep understanding in one area of concentration. Students apply to Princeton University, not to individual departments, programs, or schools. Once enrolled, students may pursue either the Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) or the Bachelor of Science in engineering (B.S.E.) degree. Within these degree programs, students can choose from among 34 departments (computer science offers both A.B. and B.S.E. degrees) and 47 interdepartmental certificate programs. Financial Aid
Princeton is one of only six schools nationwide that doesn’t limit the financial aid available to international students. Admission is offered to students regardless of their ability to pay, and the full need of every admitted international student is met just as it is for U.S. students.
Financial aid is awarded based on need only. Princeton uses the information you supply on your financial aid application and supporting documents to determine how much support we will provide. “Need-blind” means that Princeton accepts students regardless of their ability to pay the cost of attendance and meets their full demonstrated need with a “no loan” aid package. There is no disadvantage of any kind in the admission process for financial aid applicants. All financial aid awards are based solely on need.
Registration for Financial Aid for Early Action students is by 15 November, and for Regular Decision is by 15 January.
