Citizens For Europe invites young NGO leaders and project managers to participate on conference “Looking for European citizenship” in November 2010 in Berlin.

Citizens For Europe e.V. is an non-governmental and non-profit association set up by young individuals from different European countries. Its objectives are to define and establish a new transnational model of EU citizenship, to promote political participation rights for EU citizens and third-country nationals and to raise the public awareness of roles and responsibilities of citizens in Europe.

The purpose of the conference is to create synergies among the organisations active in the field of European citizenship and to debate with politicians and scientists the future of the political and legal concept of European citizenship.

Eligibility
* young representatives of NGOs working in the field of European citizenship, political participation and migration;
* young scientists doing research in the field;
* participants from Youth in Action programme countries, South-East Europe, Switzerland.

Cost
The organizer has limited funds to cover to cover travel and accommodation expenses based on need. Please let the organizer know if your organisation is unable to cover the costs.

Application procedure
All interested participants should submit a brief description (no more than one page) of your project/good practice/standpoint by 20th August 2010 to Arianna De Mario at: demario@citizensforeurope.org

If selected for the conference, you will receive an official invitation by end of August.
