Mary Robinson Award for Young Women’s Leadership in Human Rights

Open to:
1. Individual woman human right activist under 30; 2. Group: member association that demonstrates exemplary support and promotion of young women’s leadership in the field of human rights
Venue and Award: certificate, award and a scholarship to attend the Young Women’s Leadership Dialogue International Women’s Summit during World Council 2011 in Zurich, Switzerland from July 10 –16, 2011

Nominations are invited for the Mary Robinson Award which recognizes outstanding examples of young women’s human rights activism as well as YWCAs that support and promote young women’s leadership in the area of human rights.

The Award has two categories, individual and group:

Individual young women under 30:

* A YWCA young human rights activist
* A young woman human rights activist, from the broader community of partners working on human rights and

Group:

A member association that demonstrates exemplary support and promotion of young women’s leadership in the field of human rights.

Nomination forms are now available and may be submitted until October 31, 2010 , after which an international review panel, made up of a group of individuals who bring geographic and age diversity and a range of expertise will review nominations and select the award recipients.

Award recipients will be honoured at the International Women’s Summit during World Council 2011 in Zurich, Switzerland from July 10 –16, 2011. This will be a time for all to celebrate!
